The Christmas Party this year for the children of Green Lane School, was organised by Hannah Phillips and Jess Thomas, the College Charity Managers, supported by James Astley and Matt O’Brien, Heads of College, members of the College Committee and the Sixth Form College students.
The event was held on the afternoon of Tuesday 15th December and everyone was involved, supported by Mrs E Peters, Mrs D Muttock and Mrs A Turner. The cinema in the Media centre was specially decorated in the morning by the College students who provided snacks and drinks for their guests.
The 65 children and their teachers were entertained by Year 10 PE students who performed a Jazz dance and a Street dance. All the children had the opportunity to dance with the College students and to talk to Santa Claus, who presented each of them with a party goody bag. It was a lovely afternoon.
“It was a great success and I would like to thank everyone involved. All the students enjoyed the occasion very much and the children thanked us with a card, and large gift box which contained a life sized toy dog!” commented James Astley.
