As part of their first module Year 12 Applied Scientists have been on a range of visits, to Chester Zoo, Fiddlers Ferry and Warrington Wolves Rugby League Club.
The students have been looking at the services offered by these workplaces, the jobs available at these work places and the science involved, as well as the Health and Safety implications. Pupils have been writing reports on these workplaces as part of their coursework. Rosie Forrest said "being able to go on these trips has made the course more interesting and shows how science is used in day to day life."
