A GROUP of Humanities pupils enjoyed a once in a lifetime trip to the United States.
To increase their understanding of American history, geography, citizenship and religious topics, pupils visited many famous landmarks such as New York’s Empire State Building, the Liberty Bell in Philadelphia, and the Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington where Humanities Teacher Mr P Taylor was able to give a lecture.
Humanities Teacher Mrs R Procter said of the trip: “It was a really good opportunity for the kids to explore and investigate the cultural differences and to witness first hand sights of historical and religious importance.”
The pupils also went to Ground Zero in New York and the Lincoln and Vietnam memorials in Washington (see pictures)
