FRENCH: LEISURE AND TOURISM
This two year Edexcel course seeks to develop pupil’s knowledge, skills and understanding in all four skill areas: Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing.
Topics studied include:
o General core vocabulary
o Working in France: at a holiday centre, at a hotel, at a leisure centre, at a tourist office, at a bar/restaurant, at an internet-cafe or in the tourist industry.
o Booking accommodation
o Applying for a job in a French speaking country.
o Unit 1: Spoken Interactions: 2 assessed over 2 years
o Unit 2: Controlled Written Assessment: 2 pieces related to Leisure and Tourism
o Unit 3a: Listening Exam: on-line assessment on general core vocabulary
o Unit 3b: Reading Exam: on-line assessment on general core vocabulary
