Digital art is becoming one of the widest used forms of art you can’t help but see it and be affected by some form of artwork work that has been produced through digital techniques in your day to day life. We are completely surrounded by digital imagery and technology for example:
CGI in films (special effects), Computer Game graphics, Graphic design, Product design, Architecture, Internet pages and animation, fashion design,
Photography, Cartoons and Stop frame animation.
Digital art covers all areas of art made using computers at some point in production.
This course aims to give students knowledge of all areas of digital art and encourage them to develop into their own specialises in the digital field.
The Endorsed Digital Arts / Graphic Design course uses the skills and knowledge that have already been acquired in Art and Design / Textiles these subjects provide an excellent basis on which to build upon. The understanding and diversity of techniques and processes developed through this qualification will provide the student with a good starting level for the audio visual and graphic design industry or a superior level of skills which can be developed further at degree level.
