On 16^th October representatives from school were invited to attend a high-profile ceremony in London that recognizes outstanding work.

Broadcaster and journalist George Alagiah presented the awards to the successful winners. Penketh High School has been awarded the prestigious International School Award in recognition of bringing the wider world into the schoolroom! Last year’s project, “The Opportunity”, was the feature film we made with our South African partner school Kwadeda. This year’s project with Kwadeda is about health, wellbeing and sport and is being led by the PE Dept, working with Year 7. Sixth form students are going to South Africa in February to work on a project with pupils there about health and Duke of Edinburgh work.
