Penketh High School performed 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' at the Shakespeare Schools Festival.

The pupil's have been rehearsing since the Summer and their performance was an 'ensemble' - with all performers acting on stage at all times.

Mr Ray Elliot of the school Governors observed the performance and stated that, "I know the performing arts school play is a big thing at the moment, but tonight I went to the Contact Theatre in Manchester to see a Penketh High School performance of Mid Summers Night Dream. Absolutley superb!!! Credit to the three members of staff whom were there and I am sure Mrs Mallon (Head of Drama) would have been proud, as she is off on maternity leave at the moment".
