A WORKER for the Warrington branch of Youth For Christ (YFC) has been looking back on her time with Penketh High School.
After spending almost a decade working with the staff and pupils of the Heath Road school Thea Hall is moving on to pastures new as she takes up a minister manager’s post in the North of England and the Midlands.
Thea’s favourite memoires of Penketh High School include speaking at Easter assemblies, talking about the power of the word and giving out £10 notes to departing year 11s as they finished their GCSEs.
She added: “I've enjoyed my time working alongside department in the school, particularly Drama and Humanities, but think I've probably made an appearance in most.
“Hopefully, along the way, I have been able to show that God's alive and kicking and still has something to say to the world today.
“It’s the people that make a place and for me this place is full of great people who work above and beyond for the students and members of Penketh High School’s community.”
Thea’s new role will see her help existing YFC centres to develop and set-up new YFC outlets.
