A YEAR eight pupil has finished second in a competition to design a poster highlighting issues surrounding the human papilloma virus (HPV) for NHS Warrington.

Charlotte McFadden will take away her runner-up prize of £30 in gift vouchers at a presentation ceremony later this year in April.

Carol Birchall, of NHS Warrington, said: “We really felt that her work would work brilliantly as a web page and have decided to reproduce this as a page on the NHS Warrington website.”

HPV is a common STI that can lead to cancer.
