OVER 70 children from nearby primary schools took part in an indoor athletics festival held by Penketh High School.

Sports Leaders from Year 10 ran the contest under supervision from teachers Miss S Jones and Mrs C Collins, with Penketh Primary and Penketh South the winners and runners-up respectively.

Both these teams will compete in the Warrington Finals next month.

Previous competitions at Penketh High School include a tag rugby festival and plans for further challenges in netball and football are also underway.
